The SEP 12.1 clients are getting updates and virus definitions though. The problem that I have is that the SEP 12.1 clients are not being displayed on the SEPM 14.2. The SEP 14.2 clients are being shown on the SEPM 14.2 and I can run commands on them. All the agents were installed using remote push and silent installer. All end users with Windows 7 and above are running SEP 14.2 agents. Then I generated the SEP 12.1 packages for Windows XP clients from SEPM 14.2. I imported the bat files from the SEP 12.1 package into the SEPM 14.2. I have SEPM 14.2 in my environment and I have both SEP 14.2 and SEP 12.1 clients.

The error message I am getting for the export is “The management server does not have the virus definitions to include in this package. (I can export it without definitions.) 32bit clients are updating their definitions and I can export a 32bit client that has definitions. However, it appears that 64 bit clients are not getting updated virus definitions and I also cannot export a 64bit client that contains virus definitions. Everything is working properly as far as groups, policies and clients checking in. I used the correct recovery file and restored the database from a backup made the same day. This is the same version I was using on the old server. I did a clean install of 14.2.0.MP1 using the Disaster recovery method so that I could keep the same server name and IP address. I recently migrated our SEPM server from Windows 2008 R2 to Windows 2016.
